The Preston Valley Artisan Trail will run on the weekend of 6th and 7th November 2021. The trail runs along the Donnybrook Boyup Brook Road from Thompson Brook to Mumballup. Thomson Brook Estate, Mandalay Road Wines, Preston Valley Store, The Blue Tractor Egg Farm and even The Fine Timber Company timber mill in Charley Creek will be hosting artisans, promising an exciting day out for the whole family.

1. Thomson Brook Estate
131 Thomson Road, Donnybrook
Terry & Pam Foster welcome you to sample their wines at their small family owned and managed winery. Guest artisans include renowned printmakers Denise Gillies & Lynne Mitchell with prints, scarves, bags and jewellery. Popular local craftswoman Carolyn Flynn will have wind chimes, and range of tiles, silk hangings and mosaics. Legendary local garden guru Jan Atherton of Fernbank fame will have plants for sale. Fab food available from Interstellar Grill and Spit.
2. The Fine Timber Company
104 Charley Creek Road, Charley Creek
Marnie & Derek Doak welcome you to their modern timber mill where they create the finest timber for craftspeople to turn into bespoke timber products. The guys from Donnybrook Men’s Shed will also be there with their work and blacksmithing demonstrations. Guest artisans Robert Underhill will demonstrate his ropework, Rachel Williams will be displaying her photography alongside Hazel Boardman’s stunning landscape paintings.
3. Hidden Treasures
96 Trevena Road, Queenwood
Susan Learmonth’s tiny treasure trove of vintage collectables is full of wonderful surprises. Bijou jewellery to beautiful bric-a-brac, and rustic gentlemen’s collectibles. Guest artist Linda Smith will have her beautiful original paintings on show.
4. Preston Valley Store.
Cnr Boyup-Brook Road & Ferguson Road, Lowden
Preston Valley Store will be on the trail again this year with blingy creations made by Natalie. Woodworker Bill Cooper will also be there along with Cathy and Elaine of 'Knot Just Sisters' with their amazing macramé creations. Gorgeous craft from Char’s Creations and dazzling jewellery from Lindi. And of course, Natalie will be dishing out her terrific hamburgers, chips, drinks coffee and cake.
5. Val’s Tin Shed
1483 Boyup-Brook Road, Lowden.
Val’s collection of thousands of biscuit, cake, coffee, tea, ice-cream, ANZAC, Mac’s and many other tins is amazing! Val & Kevin Green will also have collectables for sale. Feel free to wander the garden, bring your lunch and picnic in the garden under shady trees.
6. Yabberup Hall
Cnr Donnybrook-Boyup Brook Road & Yabberup Road
Local ladies will be displaying their art and craft with guest artisans Sue Migliori with handcrafted cement planters. ‘ROPES’ Retired Old Primary Educators Shed with wonderful wood work, Karen Lambeck with organic loose leaf herbal teas, handcrafted aromatherapy home and body products for sale alongside art market, Christmas light decorations and produce stalls. Tea & coffee, sausage sizzle and hamburgers available.
7. Mandalay Road Wines
254 Mandalay Road, Glen Mervyn
Tony and Bernice O’Connell welcome you to their small family run winery with wine tastings, wine by the glass and bottle sales. Olive oil and local honey for sale. Guest artists include metal artist Bob Turner, renowned painter Christine Blowfield alongside quilter, crafter and watercolourist Helen Reading. Grazing platters and light food available to enjoy whilst listening to live music by Donnybrook group "Imagine" playing your favourite music.
8. Blue Tractor Farm
2368 Donnybrook Boyup Brook Rd, Glen Mervyn
Belinda will be serving ‘High Tea’ and Devonshire Teas in her vintage tea rooms with pastured eggs for sale from her happy hens. Guest artists Sue Kalab will demonstrate her wildlife water colours. Jill Lynch will have her dazzling mosaics and sparkling sun catchers. Carolyn Hayes will have beautiful dried flower arrangements along with her natural skin care range, olive oil and honey.

Look for the flags just 2ks east of the Mumballup Pub
Home of Sally’s funky straw bale studio, ethical bamboo fashion, hand crafted wearable and original art, hand poured resin jewellery and homewares. Sally will be joined by - artists Cynthia Dix with her art, prints, scarves, totes and homewares – glass artist Heather Elliotsmith with her with cool and quirky original pieces. Watercolour art by Elli Barrett with woodwork by Brian Barrett. Enjoy a complimentary Margaret River Wine Company wine, tea or coffee on the verandah. And great food from Grillerz Food Van. Ample parking and bus turnaround.
